Does anyone know what the tax rate is being set at for the May voting on the budget ? Hopefully it will be less than 2 percent. Anything more and I am voting it down. I am taxed out and almost taxed out of my home.

In my humble opinion, we will not pass a budget with any tax increase.......people simply cannot pay any more.

WE are getting the $485,000  refund from the busing issue from 2005  ( the year of 38%)  HELLOOOO !  They are NOT holding the line at $325,000 or .95%     The Truth is they are holding the line on spending at $810,000 dollars !

They are NOT representing the truth when they print things like  "spending has only increased 1.65% in 5 years!  The truth is we were hit with almost 4% last year and almost 4% this year !   HMMMMMMM almost 8% in two years.....

How much money was set aside to improve the programs at Clayton Huey and remove our school from the "NYS needs improvement list".
The English test scores for grades 3-8 were published in Newsday today. What is the plan to bring our scores up to the level of surrounding districts?

We have one of the highest tax rates in Brookhaven. Where is the money going?
