TOPIC: 8 period school day

8 period school day	Permalink

The Center Moriches School Board is considering and 8 period day. CM currently has a 10th period for "extra help" till 3:00 . Many of the athletics and extracuricular activities start after that period. This gives the majority of the students time to catch up with homework and help. Does anyone know what the advantage is to shortening the day? __________________ Love my Devils

They should get rid of some Administration before cutting the program. __________________

Isn't there some law about them notifying the community before making a decision like that? What happened to eliminating busses for less than 2 miles? I heard that it was supposed to be on the ballot in May. Will this cause lay-offs? Will this cause elimination of electives? __________________
