RECOMMENDED ACTION: that upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, the Board of Education approves the following contract in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract, as well as at the established cost contained in said contract:

9. Disposition of Records and Equipment
RECOMMENDED ACTION: that upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, the Board of Education approves the disposition of records and/or equipment.
10. Payment Authorization
The Board of Education has appointed an Independent Claims Auditor to review bills and authorize the processing of payment during the period between Board of Education meetings.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: that upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, the Board of Education accepts the report by the Independent Claims Auditor for the month of January 2010 and authorizes payment of the monthly bills listed on Warrants for the month of January 2010, as audited by the Independent Claims Auditor as follows: Warrant: 29, 45 30, 48 31, 49 36, 54 32, 51 Date: 1/6 1/14 1/21 1/22 1/28

If you noticed also, tonights board meeting according to the sign outside the schools is set for 5:30pm when according the the district meeting agenda on the website it's for 6pm.

Double Digit Tax Increase

The only reason why it was moved to 5:30 pm was so the BOE could support the boys basketball team at Longwood HS in the Class B county finals. Many community members were also in attendence. It's nice to see our community leaders support our kids in sports, music, theater and of course academics.
