Best in Brookhaven

We passed Rocky Point and now have the second highest tax rate in Brookhaven. The Press reported the School Board adopted the tax levy for 2010-11. Next year we are sure to catch Bayport-Blue Point for first place. __________________

Town of Brookhaven assessment ratio went from 74% to 83% of full market value . This means by their formula our home "full market values" decreased 9%. Tax bills come out in December. __________________

Thank you I may not have been clear. I was trying to determine if we gained revenue through higher assessed values of land in our district. I'll give the town a call. __________________

Why would you move from William Floyd district to Center Moriches district? Do your homework! The lowest income area of Mastic, and the roughest, the Poospatuck Indian reservation residents attend Center Moriches. Moriches residents with the highest income per capita of the 3 Moriches hamlets attend William Floyd Schools. This is a well Known fact. One of the earlier posts had it correct check www.longislandzipcodes.com. Also another point Center Moriches tax rate is higher and they balance the scool budget with the 1 million plus they receive from the Federal govt. for the Poospatuck students. If that was ever cut it would be devastating to the district. They do have good soccer teams!!! __________________
