Help Soccer Adopt the 106th Rescue Unit

On Sunday, Nov. 8, the Center Moriches Fire Dept. Soccer Team will play a
competitive soccer game against the Suffolk County Police Dept. Soccer Team at the Dowling College Soccer Stadium located on the William Floyd Parkway in Shirley.  This facility is north of the Sunrise Hwy. and south of the L.I.E.  This game is a benefit for the 106th Rescue Unit based in
WesthamptonBeach at GabreskiAirport.  We will not charge spectators to view this event but ask that everyone bring at least one item from the Wish List For Our Deployers included below.  Dress warm...this is an outdoor event.

Opening ceremonies begin at 1:30 PM.  The game follows.

Entertainment will be provided by D.J. Ronnie Inc.

There are drop locations for donated items at  Suffolk County National Bank, Shining Star Bakery, and the C.M. Fire Dept.  in Center Moriches, and DPI Soccer Shop in East Moriches.  Our purpose is to show our communities' support for our locally based Air National Guard Troops.

Regardless of your feelings about our country's participation in war, we'd like to brighten the holidays for our local servicemen and women to thank them for their personal sacrifice.  Our purpose is to collect personal items the troops can use in the field and /or items their families can use at home for the holidays.  We intend to present them to the 106th Rescue Unit at this benefit.  We hope all members of our community and those surrounding us will choose to participate in this effort.
